The main transmission oil pump is designed as an external gear pump without internal pressure regulation. It draws the oil (on the suction side) with the help of a special filter and delivers it over the pressure side to a downstream control module.
Depending on the oil demand of the coupling, an additional return flow is used on the intake side to regulate the excess funding volume of the oil pump. The flange-mounted pump is suitable for thin, friction-optimised gear oils. Because of a special material selection it reaches a high efficiency.
